Sliding top box

Here's another cute little box I came up with after realizing the Pool Party scraps from a certain card I've been demo'ing a lot of lately were taking over my stamp room! It's the same basic box as yesterday, made with the help of the Simply Scored board and Sticky Strip, only I made it with a sliding lid that you pull out to uncover a hole through which the M&M's can fall. I used some Pool Party strips to create the framework that holds the sliding lid in place so it can only be pulled out one way.

Fun! I love making little boxes and doo-dads besides just cards. Secret porthole box

I wound up with a TON of scrap strips of Pool Party cardstock leftover from a card I've been making in my workshops for Sale A Bration. I can't show you the card just yet, because I want it to be a surprise for those I have yet to share it with, but I will show you this little box I made from the leftovers. Making boxes with the Simply Scored is SUCH a breeze--love it!

This box has a secret opening for the M&M's to come out! You just grab the little ribbon tab and rotate the scallop circle out of the way--it is on a Silver Mini Brad--and it exposes the porthole underneath.

Cute and easy--just remember to punch the secret hole BEFORE you assemble the box. : )

Manager's Reception 2012

We had a wonderful time at the special reception just for demonstrators who are at the Manager level or above on Wednesday night of Leadership Conference. Fun Asian appetizers, umbrella drinks, fabulous decorations, and for our entertainment, the astoundingly good Chinese Acrobats of Hebei.  My signature Chocolate Lovers event, complete with a chocolate buffet, is a yearly tradition you won’t want to miss! We’ll be making some absolutely decadent projects with the Hearts Collection Framelits on the Big Shot, the Sweet Shop product suite, the new Cherry Cobbler Dazzlin’ Details, and much more!

Blessed to be friends

Of all the many many many many MANY things I love about Stampin' Up and my fabulous job, the one I appreciate the most is the friends I have made because of it. I am blessed that the Lord saw fit to drop me into a fabulous group of ladies who make each trip memorable and fun. This particular group of us has been to many events together now, and we were just so close this time, it was awesome. Enjoy these additional photos I swiped from their blogs...

I love how encouraging these ladies are. They truly embody the Stampin' Up Statement of the Heart: "To love what we do, and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments." I hope I pass that on down the line to my own team. I want what's best for them, not just their businesses.
