I don't know where to put this post in my archives! I guess I need a new category for hybrid projects. This card was made with My Digital Studio for my friend Kelly, who is a total cat lover. There is an absolutely adorable kitty-themed stamp set in the new software that I hope they make into a real life stamp set in the next catalog, it is so cute. There's a doggie one, too. There are four "sets" that I have found in MDS that don't exist elsewhere thus far. It's been fun hunting for them!
So for this card I made six "punches" of DSP (Baja Breeze, sorry the color is a bit off since I just used my cheapo HP Deskjet printer) and layered them on Basic Black cardstock. I stamped the cat and mouse and saying. I printed it out and mounted it (this is a 5x5 card) on Whisper White. I could have added the ribbon digitally, but decided to make it a hybrid, so that is "real." So is the clear acrylic button.
I went round and round with myself trying to decide whether to lay it flat and squared up on one of the square punches, or slanted... ended up slanting it and still can't decide if I like it or not. I don't hate it, but I'm not crazy about it either. Well, the cool thing is, if I had gotten it all done and hated it, I could just print out a new one and transfer the real life elements over!

Darling! I haven't played with the stamp images in MDS much yet. Now you've got me curious and I'm going to have to go searching for new stuff!! I can't wait to show my customers some fun hybrid projects.

very cute, Lyssa....can't wait to see the doggie set too. And yes, I do have the MDS program but haven't really started diving into it yet. Jan
