It's getting so close I can't stand it!! Disney Update

As you probably heard somewhere along the way, I'm working on earning the Stampin' Up incentive trip to Disney World for my family this year. You can earn it on any one of five different combinations of new recruits and sales. I haven't been to Disney since I was fourteen, Mike's never been, and our children have never been. I want that experience for them so badly! I just really think that's something every kid should get to do once in their life.

If I make it, it will be my fourth incentive trip. I can hardly believe that! God has been so good to me, blessing me with a supportive husband and a ton of really good customer friends!

I've been headed for "Option B" for several months now, based on the ladies who have joined my team this year, and I just have to share that I am very, very close now! I just finalized the order that takes me under $4,000 left to go. WHOO HOO!!! As my kids say, "Go, Mommy, go!" How can you NOT try your level best with that kind of cheerleading ringing in your ears as you head out the door each night??!!

This event is important to my good friend Kim Rahfaldt and her family.  As many of you know, Kim and Dan's nine year old daughter was diagnosed with diabetes in 2005.  This past October, their twelve year old son was diagnosed too.  Please consider stopping by to shop at the vendors, browse the craft rummage, buy some baked goods, or stay and scrapbook or stamp! I will have a Make N Take, a special one-day-only sale, and all my Big Shot items, inks and punches there for your use.

Suzy and Suzette are enjoying their weekend! As are we all. As we head into the last day and the clock is ticking, with our hands around a big mug of coffee, the chatter is at a minimum as we all dig into our projects! Can't believe the retreat is almost over.

Playing with Paisley Petals

Having a ball tonight at the scrap retreat, playing with the new Paisley Petals DSP, which is a sneak peek product out of the NEXT Idea Book & Catalog, and will be on sale April 1st. Love it! It's got lots of colors in it, so it goes with just about any cardstock base color you want. I paired these with Naturals White and Bravo Burgundy, accented by bits of Newsprint DSP, on a Bashful Blue base. The ribbon roses are from the Occasions Mini, and I sponged them with Crumb Cake ink.

I actually used three different stamp sets on these--the stylized flourish from Elements of Style in Encore Gold ink (wish that showed up better in the photos--it is really cool looking in real life!)--the awesome bird in a frame stamp from the April first new release Four Frames set, and the Clearly for You set. Ya'll are going to love the Four Frames set!! I'm so excited for this to be available. It features four different stamps, all of which fit in the Decorative Label punch. Beautiful designs! You'll be seeing a lot of that here in April.

Stocking up on graduation cards

Being in a teacher's family means we go through a lot of graduation cards! One of my goals for this weekend's retreat was to make a bunch. Similar cards will also be available at Josephine's boutique next week, along with some fun ones for younger grads.

Ok! Today's first goal is to finish a pre-made baby album for an upcoming shower and make the favors for it. I keep getting distracted by all the yummy food we're having, the movies we're watching (Twilight marathon today) and all the great chatting we're doing. We are having SOOO much fun! I love my stampers!!

Sew Suite to be at the retreat

I didn't get a whole lot done today at the scrapbooking retreat, but boy, are we having fun. Here's a few pictures of cards I made this afternoon using the Sew Suite papers, stamps and Sweet Buttons Embosslit for the Big Shot!

The shiny stuff is my lovely friend Crystal Effects. I just ADORE the way it makes the buttons look so realistic!
