You can imagine my embarassment at Create A Card Club down in Fort Atkinson last night when I realized I'd forgotten the Top Note die to make this cute background piece for one of our projects. Whoospie! And we were getting along so nicely with the new Snow Burst embossing folder and that gorgeous Early Espresso quilted satin ribbon, with the stocking builder punch and Silver Glimmer paper! Oh well, keeps a girl humble, I guess.
We pulled together something fun using cardstock and tools from another project, and then couldn't decide which one we liked better. What do you think? Leave a comment and cast your vote!
And before you ask, you make the squared-off Top Note piece in the first photo by running your cardstock through the Big Shot, then turning the rectangular Top Note shape 90 degrees and running it through again to chop off the sides. Just another versatility tip! I'd be tickled pink to give you and your friends a little Big Shot demonstration at your next workshop--call me today to schedule it for October 13th or 20th, or December 1st or 9th, my only remaining 2011 workshop dates!

have enjoyed your Founder's Circle blogs...thanks for letting us "join" you for some of the awesomeness! Casting my vote for the circles card...no mistakes in stamping, just reason to CREATE!

I like the one with the circles. The top-note die is a fun accent, but I love the pop of blue color in the second one a bit better. They are both adorable tho. love that quilted satin ribbon!

My vote is for the circles. The blue along with the green just adds something. I might be tempted to do some faux stitching along the outside edge of the circles - they need a little something. Or maybe distressing.

I like the circles since it allows you to really see the embossed background.

Ohhh...I really like the second one with the circles! I think my best work sometimes comes from so called "mistakes". :)

I relly like the circles best -- that particular treatment with the Top Note doesn't do it for me -- how wonderful that boo-boos can be such a creative nudge!!!!

I like the circles, but think I would have made a silver color circle out of the glitter paper instead of the blue.

Rob votes for the first one...I knew I liked him!

I like the shape of the top note, but really like the bright colours in the second one, so that is the one I would choose.
