I loooove making Valentines! I've always liked this holiday best, probably because my birthday is the next day, so I always get royally spoiled (and remembered!). I made a bunch of specialized ones yesterday for "Mail Week" at my kids' school, and I made a special one for Mike, too. However, after making this one, I think I might change his!
I've always been drawn to crisp design with lots of "white space" and a dab of bold color. Doesn't get much more bold than this color scheme of Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Real Red! And isn't the addition of the Game Spinner Hands piece behind the heart just TOO CUTE? Love it!I know they are designed to go with the Take A Spin stamp set, but I have found lots of other reasons to repurpose them.
Here's another card I made at the same time, using a piece of Designer Series Paper instead of the ribbon fall. Amazing what a tiny bit of First Edition newsprint patterned paper will add.
So--made your Valentines yet? I have a little offer for those of you who are scrambling for a scrap of pink or red because you didn't plan in advance for Valentine's Day! I have a FREE combo pack of 12x12 Pretty in Pink and Real Red Designer Series Papers, eight sheets total, for the first four people to order before midnight tonight. I'll deliver it right away, so you can get started on those projects even before your order arrives!
Fine print--your order must be a least $40 before shipping and tax, must be placed via email by midnight tonight, cannot be combined with a workshop, club, or any other coupons, and must be picked up if you live outside of Watertown or Fort Atkinson. Email me ASAP at zwolaneks@att.net to place your order! And remember, it's Sale A Bration time, so every $50 spent gets you a free reward choice from the SAB brochure. How irresistible is THAT?!

Love the Valentine card....great design with the red/black combination, especially for a masculine card.
