I am leaving for a demo-only scrapbooking retreat today and I have tons of stuff to pack, but I couldn't leave you without today's installment in my 31 Pages in 31 Days blog series! Today's two-page spread was inspired by the self-adhesive cardstock diecuts that come with the Pinwheels on Parade Simply Scrappin' Kit. I used just one of the three sheets to do this spread, one of the 8 sheets of coordinating cardstock, and one of the six sheets of Designer Series Papers. Those kits hold a bundle!
The top page is the left hand side, and here's the right side page of the spread...
The banner was a PIECE OF CAKE, because each of those pennants is a little self-adhesive diecut! So this page really did go together in a flash. I add in Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and Midnight Muse In Color Dahlia embellishments to add some texture.
I had one little lonely pennant left after making my banner, and I couldn't bear to throw him away. That would never do! So I added him to the Oval Accent diecut piece I had made on the Big Shot to stamp my title upon, and he is very hapy there, all decorated with a ribbon slide threaded with a Word Window punch. I was really tickled when I saw that the WW punch fit in there! The ribbon slides are just one of the amazing assortment for really unique embellishments in the 2012 Holiday Catalog.
Ok! No rest for the wicked... or those of us who fall into the "more mischevious than actually naughty" category! I'm off to go papercraft and hopefully make a lot of progress on my digital albums, to take advantage of the31% off print product special in August. I will schedule some posts in advance here so you don't miss me too badly!
