If you're just joining us, welcome to Song of My Heart Stampers' blog series challenge, 31 Pages In 31 Days! Every day during the month of August, I'll be posting a single or double page scrapbook layout for your inspiration. I am running a Scrapbooking Summer School on four consecutive Thursday nights in August, and I've issued them a challenge--complete thirty-one pages in just thirty-one days. You can play along at home, too!
Today's page uses more of that awesome Moments Like These Project Life by Stampin' Up accessory pack. I love the gold foil printing on some of the cards. I don't use a ton of gold in my crafting, but since it's the metallic embellishment of choice for this kit, I dove in, and this is a trend that is really growing on me.
I especially loved the textural complement of the sequins paired with the new Gold Thread. The tiny gold paperclips come with the accessory pack, too. I got the color scheme from the pack, using Basic Black, Whisper White, Mint Macaroon, Tip Top Taupe, and gold.
Sooo much texture on this page.... bumpy sequins, strands of thread and twine, rough jute trim, smooth washi tape (also part of the accessory kit), the circle Framelits, the flat lace strip...
Project Life card collections and accessory kits also give my crafting a much-needed update with fresh patterns and motifs I might not have picked out on my own. They help modernize my pages as well as shake up the layouts. And they help me be a little more creative with the page titles, which is where I often get stuck in a little bit of a rut.
I'm super excited for tonight, our very first Scrapbooking Summer School class! We'll be making this page along with six others, and we'll be well on our way to achieving that 31 Pages in 31 Days goal. Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to download the FREE sneak peek of my new Scrapbooker's One Sheet Wonders Vol 1, coming soon, for the Two Million Blog Visitors celebration!
See you tomorrow for Day Seven of 31 Pages in 31 Days 2015!
