If you've been around Song of My Heart for ANY length of time you've noticed I love real-life papercrafting... you know, the stuff that real people who actually have a life make?
So when I come across a technique or layout that's super simple but snazzy, it just makes my day.
Stampin' off is an old technique, but an awesome basic for your repertoire, and I'm always finding stampers who haven't been taught this one yet! Stampin' off is just means inking once, but stamping multiple times. It produces the coolest ombre look, using just one ink pad color!
I made four different cards in about twenty minutes total this afternoon, using this one technique.
So grab your favorite dark color of ink (I used Rose Red for mine), any flower stamp and coordinating punch, and cut yourself four card bases! Whether you need to make multiple cards in a hurry, or just want a trick that will help your limited crafting time be as productive as possible, you will LOVE the Stampin' Off technique.
I hope you'll give this technique a try. Challenge yourself to come up with four different ways to use the punched flowers. Im going to try a scrapbooking page next, myself!
Want to recreate this technique and cards at home? Here's the Stampin' Up supplies I used. Please feel free to click on any of the images and go to my online stamp store to browse and purchase what you need for successful stamping at home.
