Don't put your customers in a box. Don't ever decide something is too much money for them.
You are not their mom deciding their allowance.
Your job is to put what SU offers out there and let them decide based on their needs, desires and budgets.
Since when did price ever stop women from getting what they REALLY wanted?
I resent being put in a box. If something is really important to me, dollars be danged, I'm going to find a way to get it.
Don't be like the saleswoman in the high-end store who takes one look as you walk in the door and writes you off. Insulting, right? And it leaves a bad taste in your mouth for that store, forever afterwards.
Yet we do that when we look at a bundle or a high-ticket item and instantly decide our customers won't purchase it. You MAY be right--but it's their decision to make. And when you refuse to share the news, you're taking it right out of their hands and saying in effect, "I know what you want better than you do."
Next time there's a promotion, don't project your own financial morality on someone else. They're adults; they know what their budget is. They're the ones who know what birthday month they have to spend or what special occasions are coming up. Lay out ALL the options and be pleasantly surprised when your sales bump up.
