When I found these little felt-covered journals at Jo Ann's Fabrics, I knew just what to do with them! They were cute, but not nearly as cute as they could be. I chose colors that would coordinate with our new Felt Fusions flowers and I was so happy with the results. I just layered some flowers on with brads, which go through the hole punched in the center of our felt flowers and then easily slipped through to felt cover of the book. Then I added a profusion of ribbon knots up and down the spiral binding, in coordinating colors. This is a great thing to do with all those little odds and ends of ribbon scraps!
If you don't want the back of the brads to show on the inside of the covers, you can just add brads to the layers of flowers, and glue them to the cover. I did this on one and used Tombow Multi, but the recipient told me they came right off, so next time I would use Crystal Effects and then those puppies wouldn't budge ANYWHERE!
I finished off these projects with a little bit of rub-on magic--did you know it works on felt? Neither did I!
Ooo, very cute! Thanks for sharing!

Those are sweet! We don't have a Jo-Ann's in Canada :0( But I'll keep looking in other craft stores. Thanks for the inspiration!
