Well, we all REALLY scream for free stamps, as was illustrated by Convention 2008! But ice cream (especially Heavenly Hash) is a close second. These are two fun projects we made at my "Get the Scoop" new catalog open house. Which wasn't so much an open house as a MADhouse, because so many people came! But it was delightful and we all ate too much ice cream.
I've seen the popsicle idea floating around for a couple of years, but it never really clicked with me until we got the new Tart N Tangy stamp set and the cute One Smart Cookie set of sayings that coordinated way too well. Add that to the always-versatile Scallop Circle Punch, and we're set. It was also the perfect project to show off the vibrant Tangerine Tango from the new In Color line.
The triple-dip ice cream cone card was inspired by a convention swap I took a photo of. I changed the colors to suit the new pale and pretty Pink Pirouette cardstock and ink I just had to have from this year's new In Colors. So with Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White,a little blind embossing with the light table, and the fun Crosshatch background, and oh yes, the crimper, we created a cone with a lot of dimension and a ton of appeal. You expected it to smell good, it looked that great! Inside we stamped the "may all your wishes come true" stamp from the cute (and on SALE!) set Heard from the Heart.
