I've been enjoying the Haiku DSP quite a bit--love those oranges and yellows. I think I may do my Hawaii book with that color scheme when I get home from the incentive trip in March!
So they are a natural to make this little pumpkin (see previous post under 3-D items). And Natalie, who is enamoured of the cute little things, happened to be wearing an orange shirt and served as Vanna White for me. She was too cute with the orange shirt, gray corduroy skirt with orange flowers, orange and hot pink striped tights, and orange barrettes! Mommy goes a little nuts with the "matching" thing sometimes!
And then the weather changed (I love fall) and in the afternoon we had shed the tights, long-sleeved shirt, and heavy skirt and were running around in a tutu. Not me--HER!
Here's a couple more projects with that Haiku DSP. I just love the paper quilting with those pesky scraps. So fun to do. And I learned how to do the adorable Hawaiian shirt fold and in true Lyssa fashion I have made a bajillion of them. Actual count.
This last photo is a close up of the shirt fold. I also used the versatile Eastern Blooms set (which-is-on-sale-right-now-but-only-until-September-thirtieth-so-you-have-to-get-off-the-computer-and-call-me-right-this-minute-so-you-don't-miss-out). Order either the Eastern Blooms or the Haiku DSP (really, you need both!) and I will show you the shirt fold for free any time.
I am really liking this paper now that I am seeing it being used alot! A bajillion, huh!!! I need to learn how to do this fold.

Lyssa, I am cracking up so much over this comment : and in the afternoon we had shed the tights, long-sleeved shirt, and heavy skirt and were running around in a tutu. Not me--HER!
What a concept...picturing you running around in a tutu! And stamping, too of course, right? Thanks for sharing the directions for the I Love Lucy purse...I guess if nobody claims it then you get to keep the idea, eh? Now I know what to do with all those 6x6 print patterns packs! Jan

Love your quilting - it's really attractive. As well as your shirt fold - I haven't tried either of those, but you make it look so good I may have to!
