Pink Pirouette Pocket Card

I just love this new pale pink from Stampin' Up! It is SO feminine and goes perfectly with the new Scallop Border punch. This is a super quick pocket card that showcases how well our colors coordinate with each other. That is my all-time favorite thing about SU. Yes, I think that is even more important than stamps!

First, cut a sheet of Pink Pirouette CS in half the TALL way. Fold it in half and then fold just the front cover back on itself about an inch and a half. Use the Scallop Border punch on both the back and the front flap.

Punch out two Five-Petal Flowers from Regal Rose cardstock and pinch the tips of the petals for a 3-D look. Add a Pretty in Pink brad to the center of the flowers and attach to the middle of the front flap of the pocket. If you want a bit of bling I would use a Rhinestone Brad or some glitter and the 2-Way Glue Pen at this point. Do not adhere the pocket until you are done with the stamping.

Stamp the flowers from Fresh Cut in Regal Rose ink randomly on the front as shown. On a 2.5x3.75 piece of Whisper White, stamp a saying and some flowers along the bottom. Mat on a Regal Rose piece cut .25 bigger on two sides.

Set an eyelet in the center top of the insert using the Crop A Dile. Add a knot of Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon for the pull. The use two eyelets to hold the pocket shut (making sure you don't set the eyelets in too far from the edges). Insert your card in the pocket. A little bit more work than a normal card, but cute and fun, plus it doesn't need an envelope, and you can tuck other things into the pocket, such a tea bags, cocoa packets, seed packets, etc!

The second photo is an older pocket card I made with a retired chocolate stamp set. Wish Stampin' Up would come out with a new chocolate set! Anyway, same principle here only I used Sticky Strip instead of eyelets to form the pocket. I've also done party invitations with this layout--very cute for a BBQ or baby shower!

Great cards! I love the pocket cards they are sooo easy. I may have to do one for my Card Nite this month! The girls love it. Great idea using the scallop boarder punch! Really jazzes up the card.
