I have only been blogging for two days-!!!-- and I'm already really enjoying myself. Let's face it, it's always fun to be able to express your opinion uninterrupted, and talk about yourself non-stop, and this is the perfect forum for it. I'm also really enjoying mixing family news and photos with my stamping stuff. So I guess the jury is in, although I'm only two days into a two-week trial period--I'm officially a blogger! I don't think this ever would have happened if we hadn't just gotten high-speed internet, though. My husband just might be sorry we did after he finds out I started a blog!
I promised (I know, you were waiting with baited breath) a photo of my craft room wall and new Decor Elements. Dream Big has been my motto since Convention 2007, when I really caught the vision of what could be done with the business side of Stampin' Up. I was scared to death, but I prayed and plunged ahead, and left my wildest dreams in the dust behind me as my group grew astonishingly to 19 members and I earned a free all-inclusive week for two in Hawaii this March. I really did take that motto to heart!
So it seemed like a fitting phrase for my craft room, and let me say it was about the easiest thing I have ever done home-decor-wise. It took literally less than ten minutes to put the letters up and stamp some flourishes in Whisper White Craft ink, with tiny flowers in Silver Encore ink. I also added the stamp "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams" from the now-retired stamp set Live Your Dreams. I have always loved that Thoreau quote, which finishes, "Live the life you've always imagined."
I normally wouldn't reccommend the Craft and silver inks directly on the wall, but this is up where no one will brush against it or rub it accidentally. So there you have it. The sky's the limit when it comes to Decor Elements and personalizing your home, school or office space. And yes, my craft room really is purple.
My stamp room is purple too. Well, more like Pale Plum.... It's the only room we didn't paint when we bought the house because the color was PERFECT! I got the "Create" DE for my wall, but white doesn't show on the "pale plum" so I put it on the mirrored closet door in there instead!
