I actually scrapbooked this week! I can't remember the last time I worked on my personal scrapping. That's sad! But life has been really busy here, and there'd always seem to be a business-related project or a present for someone that needed to be worked on more than my stack of photos (which multiply at night, apparently). So it was with a great sense of accomplishment that I photographed these spreads which got themselves completed today (home sick with a little boy with a sore throat and fever).
This spread (two page-layout, for those of you who are unfamiliar with scrapping terms) is about the cards and projects I had featured at Convention 2008 (that tells you how far behind I am with scrapping). I know it's dorky, but I took a picture of most of them since I didn't before I submitted them, and it's nice to have a record.
I am pretty proud of myself for sticking with the goal I had to submit artwork every single month (I made 10 out of 12). And although I didn't win any prizes, I got on the Stamper's Showcase five times and had 22 displayed at Convention, which is pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I'm carrying over the New Year's resolution to enter a contest every month again this year--wish me luck! And good stamping mojo.
But, I didn't want to fill endless pages of my book with photos of stuff I made, so I trimmed all the pictures down as much as I could and managed to fit almost all of them on one page (some were blurry so I just pitched those). It's BUSY, but it works when you realize the concept, I think. I matched up the stars on the cute retired Simply Scrappin' papers with our new Large and Small Star punches on dimensionals, and a headline in More Mustard (done with a contraband Cricut I co-own with my friend Kelly--shhhh!)
