Lyssa, that is a genuine heart-breaker. We all get our hopes dashed from time to time, and though we know things could be worse and it's not the end of the world, it's still terribly disappointing.

The only encouragement I can offer is that somewhere, in some way, something worthwhile will come from this experience.

Your Mike sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime dream-come-true. Hugs to you both.

Oh, Lyssa. I'm so so sorry. I'd be devastated too. Isn't there a cash option? Maybe the two of you could take a shorter vacation closer to home with the $$ instead and still celebrate in a meaningful way. I'll say a prayer for you, that God will heal your heart and give you something in place of this special trip. {{{{Hugs}}}}

Lyssa, I can only imagine how disappointed you must feel right now! That is soooo terrible. I agree with Britney about considering the cash to take a little vacation yourselves when it is convenient, or maybe you have a good stamping friend who can keep you company on the cruise? It kind of takes away something of the excitement of earning the incentive trip, I imagine :S

If you need someone to go with, I might be free...I'm just sayin ;)

Anyway, I am confident that this is only one of MANY trips you will earn, and Mike is sure to be able to go on ONE! :)

It is hard for me to think of any reasonable reason for not letting him go on that amazing trip. Rules, rules, rules ... So sad!

Sorry, sis. REALLY bummed at them and for you, for very different reasons.

Hang in there!

what a beautiful written tribute to your husband. I 'm so sorry he's not able to go

Lyssa, I'm so sorry to hear this. I completely understand your disappointment. I'm so sorry he will not be able to join you. You are blessed to have him support your business and he is blessed to have you. Hugs and prayers.

Hey Lyssa lady,

Keep your chin up...keep working towards your goals...I am so sorry for your disappointment and can so relate...but pick yourself up and get your mojo going :-)

Big hugs,

What a disappointment. The earlier suggestion of taking the cash option and doing something fun with your husband when his schedule allows is a good one. Another idea is to take your son. It will be a different kind of experience for you, but I took my daughter (age 13) on the Mexico cruise, and we had a really good time. We never could have done a trip like that without SU!

Lyssa, I am just enjoying your blog so much since we met at Leadership!
I jsut read this entry from last year and I am so sorry.. but want you to know that I will be on the Alaska cruise and would love to spend spend some time with you hanging out! I am sure by now you have found a friend to go with you.. but wanted you to know how sorry I am.. and i will be looking for you on the boat!
Hope you are feeling better by now! I am still dealing with pneumonia that I had when I returned from Leadership!
