Well, I didn't win a contest I had submitted to this past month, but I DID get some really nice comments from one of the judges via email, so I am going to indulge myself and share them with you, along with the two projects and the instructions which I painstakingly typed up (someone should get some good out them!). It was a My Digital Studio Contest.
And it's too bad I didn't win, because I am so grumpy today--I could have really used some cheering up. I'm debating on going out and getting a mocha... then I could be grouchy AND energetic...I should go in and stamp my blues away, but my stamp room is trashed with the remnants of what is left of my sewing machine after I smashed it to pieces with a sledgehammer... oh wait, that was a fantasy... well my stamp room is covered in fabric right now and I'm too lazy to clean it up. That's real life for sure.
Ahem... anyway. Here's the first one:
The comment I got two weeks ago (name removed):
Just a note to let you know that we have just closed out our MDS Challenge period and will be judging and posting the winners on the website in the next couple of weeks. Thank you for this exquisite scrapbook page. I LOVE the black and white photo and the whole theme. It is gorgeous!
So that makes me feel a little better anyway... here's the link to the instructions, if you'd like to recreate this page for your personal use (please do not post it online anywhere without credit).
Here's the second one, and the comment was: Oh wow! Lyssa this is another gorgeous
page! So there's my consolation prize. Here's the download: Download Submitted
If you liked these, you would really enjoy the My Digital Studio area seminar I am hosting on February 27th. While you don't NEED a seminar to figure out how to use this great software, some of us need a little encouragement when it comes to techie stuff and others just don't have the time to play around with it. You can find all the details about the seminar here in this post. And you can find out how to WIN an MDS AND registration FOR FREE here!
All right, I'm off to attack the stamp room. And I'm getting that mocha and going shopping for a sewing machine that is not possessed by the devil. Right after I Wii!! This pudgy white child needs to lose some poundage before that Caribbean cruise. The mocha will have to be a skinny.
Lyssa, Your pages are beautiful and I can't wait to get tips from you at the MDS seminar. I just sent you money via PayPal for my registration. Have a GREAT day! : )

I am really surprised you didn't win Lyssa cause your pages are really outstanding! I especially love the first one with all 10 children lined up and looking adorable.
