Couple more photos from the 10-10-10 event here... this Old Olive, So Saffron, Kraft and Close to Cocoa card on the right was inspired by the one on the left, which I received from Shannon West after presenting at the Milwaukee regional conference last weekend. I would have CASE'd it exactly except that I wanted to work in the new Square Lattice texture folder as a sneak peek from the upcoming Summer Mini. But thanks to Shannon for a great color combo and another way to use a favorite set, Pocket Silhouettes.
I love Basic Gray with just about anything, so this Elements of Style card (also a sneak preview of a set in the Summer Mini catalog) makes me happy. When I first saw it, I thought it was a little strange to have such different styles all mixed in one stamp set, but now I love layering the different flourishes and floral sprays to get different looks.
The Close as a Memory and Fresh Cut card on the left is made with Mellow Moss, Really Rust and Blush Blossom--a great combo--but all three colors are retiring, so if you are like me and can't envision a world without Mellow Moss, you'll want to stock up! The "old" color families are guaranteed to be available through the end of May, but come June 1st, it's first come, first serve. DON'T WAIT!!!
Especially check out which of your school colors you will need for scrapbooking in the future are retiring this next month. Lots of you are stocking up on Brilliant Blue--otherwise known in my area as Gosling Blue, Michigan Blue, and Maranatha Blue! And don't forget to pick up an ink refill at the same time, so your pad will stay good for years and years down the road.
