Ooooh, I am just lovin' this new Lattice die for the Big Shot! I had an idea for a quilt card and this just made it astounding... Here's the deal--run through one lattice in your main color (I used the hostess Prints Pack in Ruby Red) and then at least twice more in two coordinating colors (I used Night of Navy DSP and Old Olive from the SAB prints pack).
Glue the lattice down to your base paper. Then save the little leftover pieces from the other lattices, and just fit them back into the latticework. I used Tombow Multi Adhesive but glue stick would work as well. I flipped some of the double-sided papers over to show the other patterns so it looks like I had more different kinds than I actually did.
Then I mounted it and ran it through the Big Shot with a texture folder (Finial Press), then matted it on a Scallop Square die cut and attached it to my card. A little paper piercing and a button to foster the hand sewn theme, and it was all done. This will make an awesome card for my dear mother in law, who is a grea quilter. Hope you enjoy making these fun and easy lattice quilts for the seamstress in your life!
Holy WOW, I love this! I need to make one for my friend, also a quilter. I just got this die last week too!
