Here's a fun 5.25 square card made with a product that was just really an underdog in this past catalog: the Bride, Bridesmaid and Groom Specialty papers. You just really didn't get what all this paper could do unless you had it in your hands, so a lot of people missed it. As of this writing, Bride (white) and Bridesmaid (vanilla) are still available, but Groom (black) is sold out. Hurry to place your order before they're all gone! www.lyssa.stampinup.net
This card was super easy--just fold some Bride DSP in half and run it through the Big Shot using the Scallop Circle Die. Like on the Baby Carriage card, you don't cut out the whole circle, but pull the folded edge back in a bit so you leave an uncut hinge area. Check out the Baby Carriage photo tutorial for step-by-step instructions if you can't envision this.
I made a stencil by punching a Full Heart punch out of some scrap cardstock, then sponged lighter and darker colored hearts on the front as shown. The sponging doesn't stick to the specially embossed design, so the hearts appear to float behind the pattern. After that it was just gussying it up with some ribbon, more sponging, a stamped sentiment from the Heard from the Heart set, and decorating the envelope. Try this fun fold next time you find yourself in need of a quick wedding or anniversary card!
Love this card! Just beautiful!
