I had to share this amazing wedding ensemble created by Diane Vander Galien, a local SU demo who's been delightfully "adopted" into my group. Diane doesn't have a blog, but she was happy to send me some photos to share with you all. Her daughter's recent wedding was just a stunning showcase of Diane's talent--and a testimony of the many, many hours of love that went into the preparations.
Above is a three-tiered favor cake from the wedding. Diane also made a one-tiered cake for one of Elizabeth's bridal showers, which she had displayed ingenuously on a glass cake stand. The invitations pulled out of a stamped and embellished pocket, shown below.
Diane also created a beautiful card basket to match the decor out of some paper mache` boxes from the local craft store. So clever! Love the very classic, timeless color scheme.
I'd have to do ten posts to cover all the neat little touches Diane had, but here's an overview picture--you can see the table cards, decorated jar candles, place cards, napkin rings, candy favors, all coordinated gorgeously.
And here's a closeup of the pop-up cake in Diane's scrapbook-in-a-box. She just did an outstanding job. I'm going to have her show me how to make this cool project! Thanks so much for inspiring us all with your love and creativity, Diane! And best wishes to the happy couple.
What a FANTASTIC POST!! Amazing amount of work and executed beautifully!
