Ok, I have to say, I am pretty proud of this one! It was time consuming and it will NOT be one of the ones I will mass produce to meet my needs, but I did really enjoy making it! It's been a great low-key, laid back Thanksgiving weekend thus far, and I have been enjoying working on some non-essential stamping projects as I have a few minutes here and there.
I used the new Curly Organza technique (see photo tutorial here) along with some un-altered organza, too. The snowflake is from the Big Shot, adorned with self-adhesive Basic Pearls. I took the sentiment from Come to Bethlehem and punched it out with the Modern Label punch.
The background is made by stamping snowflakes (from Serene Snowflakes) in Concord Crush ink on Whisper White, then running it through the Big Shot with the Petals A Plenty embossing folder. Then I sponged it with Concord Crush, Shimmer Sprayed it, and adhered it to a Concord Crush base. This is one card that's so full of texture, you just HAVE to run your fingers over it!
As always, ALL of the products I used on this card, from adhesive on out, are from Stampin' Up. I have really learned not to waste my crafting dollars here and there buying random, uncoordinated products with colors that don't go together. Stampin' Up saves me time and money, and frees me up to be creative without hassle or frustration and constant trips to the store. If you're interested in the products or the business plan (both are on fantastic sale right now!) click here for my official Stampin' Up site and learn more.
Hi Lyssa:
I almost missed this posting, because you don't have a note on the top of the blog saying there will be posts happening underneath it. Thought you might like to know.
