Hi, everyone! We're back in the contiguous United States now anyway, if not quite back home. I am pretty ready to head for the barn at this point, but we have one more day of fun in Seattle before we get to drag our souvenirs home, hug our kids and go on our diets. Since we are back in the land of free and reliable internet once more, I thought I'd start uploading some of the amazing photos you all have been so patiently waiting to see!
These are from the general session they always hold on the cruise. We really look forward to this session as they tell us fun things like how many people are on the trip (I think it was something like 270), and who was the first to earn this year's trip. There were something like 65 brand new first time achievers there, good for them! And of course this year was the first year I was able to stand up to be counted with those who already earned the next year's trip! That felt so good! Thank you, ladies!
We had some great stamping demonstrations, but I can't share the photos with you just yet because it was mostly sneak peek product and new In Colors!!! Sorry! Hang in there and I will reveal all, I promise. I did absolutely adore this cute 3x3 card with the new Postage Stamp punch--what an incredibly cute and clever little idea to fold back the interior corners to make a little frame. I have lots of good closeups of the projects, plus the demonstrator swaps, which I will be sharing in the next week, so check back frequently.
We also all received a package of new In Color cardstock, and let me tell you, no one is going to be disappointed in these gorgeously trendy colors. They are right on target with the hottest new items in the stores. I am seeing them all over the place!
They played a fun game with some members of the corporate team during the session as well. Each person had submitted a little known fact about themselves and you had to vote for the CT member you thought most likely to have said it. It was very funny (and the answer to the one above is Dave, by the way). Amy Swartz announced her pregnancy with the last slide--that was extra fun! And we all rolled in the aisles when the answer to the slide below turned out to be SHELLI!
But of course the BEST part of the general session was the utter surprise and delight of unexpectedly getting our own advance copies of the new 2011-12 Idea Book Catalog. We've all been sworn to complete secrecy, so don't even ask!!! I can't even share the cover yet, but I'll tell you it is my favorite catalog cover EVER since becoming a demonstrator. Watch for news on the distribution dates and my special annual coupon sheet for the first fifty people to pick up their books!
Yawn!! I'd better sign off now. I'm sooooo sleepy. We got off the boat about ten a.m. today and have been going non-stop ever since. My poor feet feel like two big watermelons right now. We checked off nearly our entire Seattle "must-do" list already, which is totally cool, because now we can squeeze in a few more things than we thought. I'll share those photos later. For now, I'm off to bed!
I miss you.
But I'm glad you're having such a wonderful time!
