Ok, this really is the LAST post about our Alaska incentive trip... now we really and truly are back to reality! Thankfully it's not for long--I leave for convention one week from today! And after that I have Vietnam and Cambodia to look forward to, and San Antonio in January for Leadership conference.
No, Stampin' Up is not sending me to Vietnam and Cambodia!! That one is not stamping related at all, although I am hoping to take some crafting supplies to the orphanages we will be visiting. I am going on a two-week trip with my dad and a bunch of Christian Vietnam War veterans back to the place that changed their lives so many years ago. It will really be something, very emotional and hopefully healing. I have been studying up on Asia in general and Vietnam and Cambodia in particular, and I am very excited! You can read more about the organization here: http://www.timleeministries.org It's not too late to join our group!
Well, back to our narrative... you know me and food pictures--well, when I find a building I like, I take almost as many interior pictures!
While in Seattle after the cruise, we stayed at the nicest boutique hotel just off the park complex with the Space Needle. It was the perfect location, within walking distance of a whole bunch of things, and easy bus access to the other main areas. It's called The Maxwell and while I was researching Seattle I found out it was ranked one of the top ten trendiest hotels in 2010 and received the Traveler's Choice Award for 2011. That's why I couldn't believe the awesome price!! And it was buy two nights get the third free, can't beat that! And it was GORGEOUS!
Everything was just so funky and quirky and cool! My favorite part was the walk-in shower, and the Decor Elements-style wall vinyl. Clean and first class, quiet and posh, I'd highly reccomend the Maxwell to anyone staying in Seattle. Oh and did I tell you the best part? Even better than the huge flat screen TV, incredibly comfy bed, and blackout curtains? There's a Keurig in every room : )
hey, I love the picture of the wall with the funky shaped mirror frame, I think we need a punch in that shape, don't you?
