I am STILL geeking out over this... I have seen these pictures for the last five years of demonstrators goofing off at the "park that rubber built" in Kanab, and now it's my own toes sinking into that wonderful bouncy squishiness! It was a little like walking in those "moon boots."
Some of us spent a fun ten minutes picking little partial images out of the mix and trying to identify what sets they were from. The chopped up leftover and recycled rubber makes fabulous playground material. I am proud to represent Stampin' Up, who donates it to Courage Reins, an equestrian therapy organization, who then sell it and fund their valuable work. The city park itself was gorgeous, and the location was beyond stunning. I need a new word to describe how beautiful it is here. Look at this BLUE sky, against the red rocks.
We all climbed on the equipment and got our group photo after much arranging. Not as much as the pajama party night, though! It takes a long time to arrange over 100 women so you can see each person. I will post the professional photos when we get them for both of those group pictures.
(photo taken from www.soshelli.com I am standing on the equipment just above the right hand slide with my arm on the hood).
Then we had a fantastic box lunch, the nicest I have ever had, all packed into an adorable basket box with a tea towel. Shelli's favorite desserts were served--key lime pie, creme brulee, chocolate silk pie, and praline cheesecake. We were SO stuffed we all konked out in a sugar coma on the way home. But before we left Kanab, we went to a fun little tourist trap so people could pick up Utah souveniers and get some more goofy photos.
Ok, didn't get to the evening activity for yesterday yet, but it's time to get ready to go out for our mystery event tonight. I can't wait to find out what it could be! Last night's Broadway version of the Little Mermaid at the open-air Tuacahn Amphitheater was superlative!!! Looking forward to our last evening here and something fun with my team, the Teacups.
This is the best POST of all, so far! Love you wiggling your toes in RUBBAH! Have to say, you look so tiny sitting in that BIG chair!
