How great would you feel if something pretty appeared in your mailbox totally out of the blue today? Pretty good, right? You have the power to make someone feel that good--pop a card in the mail today and spread some sunshine around.
One of the reasons I love stamping is that it makes people feel good from square one--you feel energized when you purchase it, excited when you open it, happy as a clam while you're using it, and then you turn around and make yourself AND someone else feel blessed when you send it on its way. LOVE IT!
I made this card the other day using a spatter technique that was fun, but boy, I wouldn't want to make too many of them because your hand will cramp up. I temporarily affixed a leaf I cut out on the Big Shot with Dotto repositionable adhesive to my Very Vanilla background. Then I spritzed four different colors of markers all over it using the Color Spritzer Tool. Next, I removed the leaf so you could see the un-spattered part beneath, then stamped the outline leaves from Gently Falling over the top. The sentiment is from Blessings From Heaven.
For this one, I affixed multiple Big Shot leaves all over the background and then spritzed as before and removed the leaves. Then I stamped the solid image leaves from Gently Falling. That set is so versatile--you can stamp the solid and line images together, or just the solid, or just the line--it's like getting three sets for the price of one!
The sentiment on this second card is from Day of Gratitude, the set Stampin' Up sent me to use for the magazine spread last year--click here to see the cards from that. Such a fun experience! I still get tons of good out of that set, too.
Gotta scram--Try It Tuesday is here at my house tonight, and I've been slacking off on the cleaning since I got back from Founder's Circle. No one makes me coffee in the morning or makes my bed for me or folds the bathroom tissue into a little rosette, either. I know, I know, cry me a river!
