I just love the Beau Chateau product suite, pages 132-133 in the 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog, but with everything going on lately, I've only had time to open the pack of double-sided Designer Series Papers and give them a quick caresss until just recently. At Convention 2011 I saw the cute projects Fran Sabad was prepping for her demo booth at the Opening Night party, and while I was too busy that night demoing myself to really get a good look, I was enchanted with a bookmark she had made. So finally, I've gotten to follow up on that desire, and here they are!
I especially love the quote on one of the sheets: "Time is a companion who reminds us to cherish every moment, for it will never come again."
I used the You Are Loved set from the back of the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog to stamp with the Stamp A Ma Jigg directly on the DSP that was lined (ruled). I used Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette inks. The other colors that coordinate with the pack are Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Very Vanilla. The now-retired Mellow Moss would look great, too.
I probably only used 3 sheets worth total, though I used bits and scraps from all the patterns in the pack. I could get a lot of bookmarks from a single sheet of the DSP. Mine are between 2 and 2.5 inches wide and between 5-7 inches long. They are all backed with either cardstock or a layer of DSP to make them sturdier.
I loved the way these pretty things turned out! Take a look at the Beau Chateau suite if you haven't already done so, and look beyond cards and scrapbook pages to see what loveliness lies hidden within. May my project inspire you, as Fran inspired me!
