I think I forgot to post the last spread from last month's Scrap A Stack Club. I was waiting because I knew one of my demonstrators was going to borrow the design for a scrapbooking retreat a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't want to spoil the surprise for the customers that we have in common. And then I forgot all about it, of course--out of sight, out of mind!
I love-love-love the Spice Cake papers from the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog. They are so gorgeous and just a nice modern take on the fall colors and designs. I honestly think I could use these papers all year long! This 12x12 two-page spread is an extra fun way to use our double-sided papers, because it shows all 12 patterns that come in a pack. You cut two 2x6 inch pieces of each of the six pages, glue them down at random levels across one page, then flip the remaining six over and glue those down randomly across the other page.
The BIG buttons that go with the Spice Cake product suite are terrible cute and fun, too. I've used them mostly on my fall wreath and the Spice Cake fabric dress I made my daughter, but they're perfect for scrapbooking. The stamps came from the Day of Gratitude set and I painted straight Shimmer Paint (Champagne Mist) onto the Crumb Cake background before adhering letters cut on the Big Shot with the Timeless Type alphabet dies. Fun and only a wee bit messy!
Gotta scoot--Scrap A Stack Club for October actually got moved to tonight--stay tuned for more great pages coming up. I particularly liked the way they turned out this month. We have space in our club if you'd like to come one month and try it out. Let me know if you'd like to be our guest for the November 10th meetup.
