I can't believe it is only two weeks from today that I will be flying to San Antonio for Leadership Conference--WHOO HOO! This is an exclusive event for people at a certain level or above in Stampin' Up, held in a different location every year. I haven't been back to Texas (except the DFW airport) since we moved away when I was about eleven. I STILL miss the food!! And of course, the milder weather will be nice, too, since winter hasfinally visited Wisconsin. We have a very light dusting of snow, but it's pretty cold. Had to bundle up my babies this morning when I sent them back to school...
This is (so far) my favorite of the swaps I am making for Leadership. I always think of my cousin Corinna, a costumer, when I see this corset stamp, and all the hours we spent playing dress-up! The stamp set is called Rue Des Fleurs and it is an example of the very popular "Vintage Quirky" style, which pairs vintage artwork with funny or modern sayings. "Thanks for the "support,"' get it?
The corset image fits perfectly in the Wide Oval punch, and therefore into the center of the Designer Frames Embossing Folder. Just for different, I tore around the frame instead of trimming it out. I love the punch of the So Saffron yellow, which brings out the delicate flowers on the patterned paper.
I also dove in to my new pack of Attic Boutique Designer Series Papers, which along with the stamp set is part of the Attic Boutique product suite, pages 22-23 of the new Occasions Mini Catalog (which goes live tomorrow!!)
And speaking of things that go live tomorrow, that means the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog goes defunct tonight at midnight! What a great catalog. While we do know some of the products will wind up in the next main catalog, much of the product is going away for good. Be sure to take one LAST PEEK before you file it away in your ideas box, and if you decide something needs to find a good home in your stamp room, clcik here to shop quickly and easily: www.lyssa.stampinup.net
Oh man Lyssa please find me so I can swap with you! I love your card! See you at Leadership! Bev
