My customer friend Mary and I were emailing back and forth this morning and she mentioned she was going to work on a masculine version of these cards I shared yesterday. I loved the idea! After I gave her a list of some of my favorite masculine color combos, I was so inspired I went down and made a couple quick cards before going to pick up the kids for their half day of school.
I made these with the Bird Builder Punch (item #117191) and the 1.25 inch circle punch. I started out with one of my favorite color schemes--More Mustard, So Saffron, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and Soft Suede (the one I used for the feature article in Stampin' Success Magazine, October 2010 issue--that tells you how much I love fall!).
But when I laid my punched-out pieces on the messy stamp table and they landed on top of a scrap of Baja Breeze cardstock--wowie kazaam! Look at the card above right. That combo's cookin'!!
I tried it above left with some Island Indigo added in, too, although I think less Island Indigo would be better, and maybe make the card base be So Saffron instead of Pool Party. The simple card on the right I just made up with all those little leaf punch-outs, because it's hard to throw them away! I sure love that birdie.
If you need cardstock, or punches, or anything else, my shopping website is available 24/7. You can even shop in your jammies (I won't tell!). Click here --but do you wanna hear a secret first? The Clearance Rack has gobs of the discontinued body style of punch for dirt cheap right now. The punch-outs are IDENTICAL to the new ones. So you can save some $$$ if you want!
Love this! Your color combinations are AMAZING!
