Ahh.... loving this combo! Something about the bright summery red and the crisp coolness of the aqua just go together so perfectly. Combined with the bold graphics in the Mixed Bunch stamp set, the sweeping arc of the Adorning Accents Edgelits and embossing folder, and the delicious little 50's flower pattern from the Domestic Goddess Designer Series Papers, this 'update on a retro theme' card would be a pretty big day-brightener if it arrived in your mailbox!
Now... if I'd only stamped the sentiment straight : ) Oh well--my friends know me--and maybe it's reassuring that even a Top 100 Demonstrator of the Year and a seven-year veteran still stamps crooked now and again? If you've ever wanted to send someone a card but felt intimidated, wondering if they'd judge your work--don't let that stop you! If they are anything like me, they'll be so pleased and surprised to get anything besides bills in the mail, and so touched that you took the time to write (by hand!!) a greeting inside, they'll treasure your little piece of creativity forever.
Make it a goal this weekend to send out a card--just one! I know many of you stamp and never send--I'm guilty of that sometimes, too. But think of how good YOU feel when you get something pretty in the mail--and pay it forward this weekend.
I couldn't even tell your sentiment was crooked - I was too busy admiring your card! I second mailing out the cards you make. I make a lot and decided to begin writing notes inside and mailing them to our church's shut-ins. The response has been wonderful and it motivates me to keep making cards. They love getting them and love the hand-written notes inside. So, yes, MAIL those cards!
