Believe it or not, I needed to order more floral sets this year! Normally I have flowers coming out my ears (well, so to speak!) but this year my cabinet is weighted heavily to the sentiment side of things. There are just so many AWESOME sayings sets in this catalog and the last one! So I set out to order a flower set, and Blooming with Kindness caught my eye (yes, because of the sayings in the set, I admit).
The flower is awesome! The stamp was created so that it is intricately shaded and realistic, and has lots of depth and shadow to it, yet it was only stamped once and in a single color. I used Melon Mambo ink and cardstock, with Very Vanilla cardstock and seam binding ribbon. That's one of the new Faceted Vintage Buttons sewn on the left edge, too.
This card is just not working for me, Dr. Phil... I am not sure what I was thinking. Maybe the Whisper White is just too white? It's also busier than I'd like, despite being monochromatic. I did want to show you the other embossed pattern in the Delicate Designs folder set (click here to see the lace one). But this might not have been the project for that. Another great saying in the stamp set, though!
You can see the entire set and read all the sayings on page 87 in the new 2012-13 catalog. WHAT??? You don't have one yet??? That's terrible! Email me right away! [email protected]
I love this colour combo, I think it makes the flowers pop! Would definitely brighten up the day of the receiver.

I love the top card. That flower stamp caught my eye when I was looking through the catalog but the sample card on that page showed a brown (Crumb Cake?) flower and it just didn't do anything for me. You've done it justice. I think this set may just have to go on my "buy list."
