While I had Flowering Flourishes out yesterday, I made this monochromatic card using the gorgeously rich new In Color, Midnight Muse. Midnight Muse is not getting all the press like Raspberry or Primrose, but it is a beautiful, sophisticated blue that is so much more than just "navy."
AND... it has matching ribbon! All the new 2012-14 In Colors have this cute stitched satin ribbon to match, which makes playing with them even more fun. I also added a Papillion Potpurri butterfly punch (yes, a new addiction, obviously) and some Basic Pearls, along with a sentiment from From My Heart punched out with the Modern Label punch.
What color has caught your eye lately? Have you changed your mind on a color you previously thought you didn't like? I'm coming to realize that ALL colors have their place, when coordinated well and used in the correct proportions. If color-combining isn't your strong suit, check out the updated Color Coach theory cards, or do a little googling on the pyschology of color. On my Facebook page, I often ask "what color are you today?" and I love reading the answers. Visit Song of My Heart Stampers on Facebook and "like" me for quick news and updates, last minute class openings, and a snapshot into what's going on in stamping today.
LOVE this!!
