I posted some pictures of Mike and I's Las Vegas week, but here's some photos of what the rest of the family was up to during our getaway!
Grandpa and Grandma took the kids up the mountain for hiking and s'mores. Good thing they did it then, because the next day a complete burn-ban went into effect!
This picture makes me smile--obviously Dan dressed himself that day! He's got his church shirt on with his red gym shorts : ) And the photo below just captures my baby's joyful spirit perfectly as she cooled off with the sprinkler.
Got some history lessons in with the Three Trails Museum, and lots of garage-saling with Grandma, the Garage Sale Queen! She'd found marvellous bikes for both kids (Natalie's was a Trek, from back here in WI), and during the weekend they found a build-your-own-robot kit and an electrical board set in addition to all sort of other little treasures.
It was a great visit, one that flew by all too fast! Another Wyoming summer come to an end. I'm so thanful my kids have the chance to experience the wild and wonderful Mountain West and really spend a good chunk of time with their grandparents.
Sounds like the kids had an even better time than you (not that you had a bad time), but REALLY! Bikes, hikes, trains, robots, s'mores, electronics board, Grandma, and Grandpa! The picture of Natalie sums it all up! JOY OVERFLOWING!

I look back on my week or two every summer with my grandparents and am SO THANKFUL to have had that time with them. So important for the kids to have that interaction and what a blessing for grandparents that are willing to really enjoy the time with the grands. Your parents are such a blessing!!
