I have a lot of fun with a group of more advanced stampers down in Fort Atkinson once a month! This is one of the projects we made last night. I may have gone a little crazy on the details on this one, but once I finished the focal point, with the Nature Walk stamped bird "painted" onto the canvas with markers and Aquapainters, the rest of the card called for the same level of attention. So we would up with sponging, pierced "stitching," direct-to-paper inking, Woodgrain background stamp (#117100), the En Francais background stamp (#109521), two types of fibers and a couple of tickets from the That's the Ticket stamp set (#128075-C, #128072-W)--Whew! But it was worth the work.
TIP: You have got to check out the Canvas Creations product (#129375) on page 21 of the Spring 2013 Occasions Catalog! You can stamp it, emboss it, marker it, paint it, wrap it around chipboard, sponge it, sew on it, die-cut it with the Big Shot--everything except punch it. It will get caught in the punch--ask me how I know! : ) It comes in 12x12 sheets for only $3.95, and you will LOVE how it elevates a simple project into an objet d' arte.
If you have been looking for a club to join and ensure you get both your stamping fix and a guaranteed night out of the house once a month, I have several ongoing clubs you may join at any time. The one in Fort Atkinson meets on the third Tuesday night of the month. Calendar Girls Club meets on the third Mondays, and Advanced Papercrafters meets on the fourth Mondays. The new "My Paper Pumpkin Club" is meeting on the first Mondays of the month beginning in April, too.
And if you can get together five friends, we can start a new club on a night that works for you. Lots of options for you to choose from! Find out why so many stampers LOVE being in club! Contact me today to RSVP to a club night and come and see if it is a good fit for you. Visitors stamp free!
I've been eying the Canvas Creations product, but this card (using one of my favourite sets) has convinced me it has to go on my next order. This is absolutely stunning. I'll bet the texture is irresistible to touch; hope whoever receives it has clean fingers. :-) Thanks for sharing!!
