Natalie and I had a great time Saturday at a wonderful local craft fair put on by a social group I belong to, the Watertown Newcomers & Neighbors Club. They did a smashing job at organization and they had over 40 different vendors. We did our share of damage to the baked goods and concessions, and I even got a paraffin hand treatment and a chair massage from Oasis Salon & Spa. It was a fab day!
Thought I'd share a couple of my crafty finds! I loved this vintage teacup filled with an all-natural Vanilla Latte candle. My friend Donna makes and sells them packaged with adorable coffee-themed stamped tags, for ridiculously low prices (I'm always telling her to charge more!). If you are interested in buying any or want an heirloom cup filled with a candle for a gift or just to display in your home (I checked and it's totally safe for the cup!) here is Donna's email address: firstname.lastname@example.org Her husband runs the Gentle Healer Pet Clinic here in Watertown and they are such nice people!
Natalie was in Hog Heaven with all the adorable hair bows and flowers sold at several of the vendors, but these Disney Princess ones made from ribbon really took first prize. She wanted them ALL but I got her to settle for Ariel. isn't that so clever? I was tickled because I'd seen them on Pinterest the other day but had no intention of making them : )
My best find of the day was a clearance sale from a former Lia Sophia consultant where everything was $5. I love their stuff but it is SO expensive. I estimate I got about $300 worth of gorgeous, quality jewelry for only $20!
Speaking of jewelry, I am going to prevail upon my team member Lynn Z. to teach our group how to make these amazing stamped necklaces she had donated for a church fundraiser booth at the craft fair. Aren't they awesome? The butterfly one is an image from Collage Curios, and the turquoise and bronze one is from some other Stampin' Up set that escapes me right now. So clever! I have SUCH creative people on my team!
