If you're just joining us, welcome to Song of My Heart Stampers' new blog series, 31 Pages In 31 Days! Every day during the month of August, I'll be posting a single or double page scrapbook layout for your inspiration. I am running a Scrapbooking Summer School on four consecutive Thursday nights in August, and I've issued them a challenge--complete thirty-one pages in just thirty-one days, and they'll receive a bonus pack of Designer Series Papers at the end of the month!
YOU CAN PLAY ALONG with us by challenging yourself to complete thirty-one pages, too, and posting your progress here on Song of My Heart Stampers. I also have set up a 31 Pages in 31 Days Facebook group, where you can even post pictures of your pages to inspire and encourage others who are taking the challenge, too!
Each week in August will have SCRAPPER'S BLOG CANDY given away to one lucky winner from the week's comments here at the Song of My Heart blog. You can comment once on each entry with that has the cute little "31 Pages in 31 Days" butterfly banner that I created in My Digital Studio.Today is the last day to leave a comment for this week's free Eastern Elegance and Travel Journal Designer Series Paper packs!
The Travel Journal papers are retired now, but are currently available to view and purchase on the online Clearance Rack. They have land, sea, and air-themed pages, along with map prints and some nice masculine stripes. I used the digital version of those papers when I put together my Alaska Cruise album in My Digital Studio.
Here's one of my favorite sheets from the pack!
We made this page in class last night, and the homework challenge this week is to make a second page for this one, or either of the other two single-page layouts we made in that session (this girl one and this boy one). I provided extra sheets of color and patterned papers to help them coordinate. They were challenged to bring their page(s) back next week or post them to the group Facebook page so we can see all the creative ways people turned a single page into a double-page spread.
This particular sheet of paper is busy enough that we didn't need to do much except stamp a title (using Morning Post alphabet, Gorgeous Grunge, and the "seriously" stamp I got in a cute Paper Pumpkin kit a couple of months ago. We embellished the page with a little Crumb Cake tafetta ribbon and a Ribbon Slide, and a couple of tickets we stamped and punched out using the That's the Ticket set and coordinating punch. A little Epic Day Washi Tape completed our page. The colors are Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green, with Crumb Cake.
I hope you've been enjoying 31 Pages in 31 Days! I'll see you back here for Day 24 tomorrow. If you need any scrapping or stamping supplies, click here to browse my shopping website. If you use the event code
Because I haven't been a scrapbooker (*ahem*), I have always overlooked the full page DSP with large designs on it. I'll be looking at my DSP differently from now on. Oh crum...that may mean I need a second pack of some DSP. What have you done to me Lyssa? :D

I enjoyed the retired Travel Journal pages, but will always have them in MDS! I like how you incorporated the Paper Pumpkin stamp into the layout, too.
