Happy Tuesday, everybody! I loooove Tuesdays. For some reason they are my favorite day of the week. Is it weird that I have a favorite day of the week? Well, be that as it may, it's Tuesday, and it's August 13th, and that means it's time for the thirteenth straight day of scrapbooking inspiration here at Song of My Heart Stampers! I am thrilled to pieces when I read your comments and find you are enjoying yourselves thus far. I'm enjoying myself, too!
Today's two-page spread is for class on Thursday night, and has a lot of fun features I wanted to point out to you all. For one thing, it uses the Thankful Tablescape Kit!
The Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit is kind of awesome, I have to say! I got one for free from Stampin' Up, and when I saw it in person, I promptly ordered another one. I am not (as far as I know) hosting Thanksgiving this year, but there are soooo many possibilities for the products in the kit! We are going to use the menu card as a journalling box, the die-cut leaves as embellishments, and the various papers as part of the layout. My absolute favorite part of the kit is the big spool of birch paper "ribbon" that comes with it, originally intended to wrap a vase or some pillar candles. At six inches wide, it is plenty big to cover a cardfront or dress up a page.
Other embellishments included not only the Linen Thread that comes in the kit, but the new burlap ribbon, Soft Sky buttons, and the Woodgrain embossing folder for the Sizzix Big Shot, used on some additional leaves I cut with the Autumn Accents Bigz die. The stamps used were Thankful, in Chocolate Chip ink, and Label Love and coordinating punch, in Soft Sky. I took the combo directly from the Sweater Weather Designer Series Papers--love the updated autumn colors!
I also got to play with a totally awesome new Thinlet dies for the Big Shot that everybody is MISSING in the Holiday Catalog because it's tucked away in a bottom corner! Check out the Expressions Thinlets on page 26--here it is in action on my Thankful page:
Gorgeousness! I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back of our new Foil Cardstock Sheets, ran them through the Big Shot, poked them out and stuck them right on the page. So simple and SUCH a WOW! You will be seeing more of these dies and this cardstock tomorrow! Look at how it gleams in the light... I have a super easy tip for getting it to come out cleanly and even get it to stay on the sticker-sheet back until you're ready to use it. But you'll have to wait until tomorrow! My stamp room is a total disaster area from dumping everything when I got back from a FABULOUS demo-only gathering last night. So, first up on today's agenda... see if I can find the table under all that!
See you tomorrow for Day 14 of 31 Pages in 31 Days!
Fall themed layouts are always needed and more importantly, they are used!! I find that I am loving that burlap ribbon. I will definitely need to order some of that. It looks great on pages for guys, young or old.

I agree, Theresa. Can't wait to make this. This kit was next on my list to purchase because of the birch paper, but I just may have to add the Thinlets too!
