I've mentioned several times how much I love the Eastern Elegance patterned papers. My scrap boxes are a testament to that! I recently was able to make 20 notecards using just scraps of this paper. Here's three of the designs I came up with, happily playing away this weekend when I should have been doing laundry!
The first is what I've decided to call the "star fold" technique. Similar to the dahlia fold, only instead of done with the usual circles, I used the hexagon punch--and it formed the coolest star in the center! This is a super easy technique. Just fold in two edges of the hexagon punch, and then arrange six of them in a circle with the pointy tips to the center. Add a pearl or Candy Dot and you're done!
Can you IMAGINE THIS TECHNIQUE with Christmas papers? Too cute!! I have to try it.
Here's another Whisper White Notecard I made with hexagon punches. It was SO easy! The stamp set I used for these is Sketched Birthday.
I had enough scraps that I was able to make 12 of these beautiful irregular sunburst cards. You can view a complete and easy tutorial on my irregular sunburst technique here.
Did you get to play this weekend? I "have" to play a lot in the next two weeks--craft fair season is upon us! If you're local to me, hope to see you at my first fair at Maranatha College on November 9th.
