I realized I forgot to finish sharing January's Scrapbook Marathon projects with you all! So here's a little scrappy inspiration for your weekend. I got to use my new Fashionable Hearts Embosslit for the Sizzix Big Shot on this spread, in addition to my favorite die for scrapbooking, the Tasteful Trims XL die.
The color scheme is Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red and Primrose Petals, with a little dab of Pool Party thrown in and some tiny Twitterpated buttons in pale pink to keep it from getting too matchy-matchy. We used markers to ink the words image on the tag, a great way to get two or more colors on a single stamp.
If I'd been at home, we'd have sewn a few random lines of stitching next to the paper rick-rack trim to accent it and bring some more texture to the page. Do you ever sew on your papercrafting projects? It's easy and it doesn't hurt the machine. It will dull your needle, however, so here's a TIP for you--I keep one needle for papercrafts, marked with a Sharpie so I don't accidentally sew cloth with it.
