31 Pages in 31 Days: 8/15/14

Welcome back to Song of My Heart Stampers' blog series, 31 Pages In 31 Days! Every day during the month of August, I'll be posting a single or double page scrapbook layout for your inspiration. I have been running a Scrapbooking Summer School on four consecutive Thursday nights in August, and I've issued them a challenge--complete thirty-one pages in just thirty-one days, and they'll receive a bonus pack of Designer Series Papers at the end of the month!

I wish this Playtime spread had photographed better, because it's super cute in real life. It features a color-block design with squares and rectangles of solid color and patterns. The color scheme and patterns are from the Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper pack. It's another really versatile layout, because you can fill as many or as few of the blocks with photos as you have pictures to fit on the spread. Love that!

TIP: The coolest part of this layout is that one of the squares is a shaker card! It's easy to add this one-of-a-kind emblellishment to your scrapbook page. I punched out a lot of little pieces from the Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack, added some buttons, circle punches, and some Essentials Wooden Elements along with a couple of sequins into a clear envelope with my square, and secured it on the back with washi tape. Now when you turn the page, the pieces move. FUN!

Love, love, love these Epic Alphabet clear photopolymer letter and number stamps. You can do all sorts of fun techniques with them, but they really look great just stamped plain, too. And because they are super sticky and totally clear, it's really simple to line them up on one of your bigger clear blocks and spell out a whole word at a time, so you only have to stamp once.
