Penni and I had another great weekend at the big craft fair put on every year by the Women's Softball team at Maranatha Baptist University. Inspired by what I was making with paper and burlap, I shook things up this year and completely revamped my displays. I loved how it looked, although it was definitely more work!
Unfortunately--and I knew this would happen--I didn't get any pictures of the booth all set to go. Because we can't come in the night before to set up, everything has to happen in the morning, and I am never quite finished by the time the doors open. But here's a few pictures I snapped in the afternoon.
I love selling my papercrafts at local fairs! You meet so many interesting and creative people. Do you do any craft shows? Sometimes boutique stores will let you set up a display and sell on consignment, too. It's a great way to make back a little of that money we love to spend on this fun hobby!
Missed me at this fair, or interested in purchasing something you saw but didn't get on Saturday? Email me, or come visit my booth at Ixonia Elementary School on Hwy 16, November 22nd from nine to three. zwolaneks@att.net
Hello from Canada, wish I could have been there at the fair as your products look awesome, love your blog, I was wondering about your candles, did you stamp on the candles or just attach the cardstock to it. Your packing is awesome, thanks

Hi Eileen! I should have anticipated questions about the candles : ) I stamped the Prince of Peace stamp (retired now, sorry!) on tissue paper, positioned it on my candles and covered it tightly with waxed paper. Then used the Heat Tool to melt the tissue into the candle. The wax from the waxed paper also melts into the tissue and forms a protective layer so the design can't scratch off easily. Peel the waxed paper off and it's done--so simple. Just be aware you cannot burn them down past the level where the tissue paper begins, because it can still catch fire as the wax melts away around it.

Your booth looks lovely! And so many beautiful things on display. Hope it was successful. I tried 2 craft fairs last spring and lost money on both of them. I decided that since it is a lot of work, and I had so many things left over that that would be it for me!
