Stamps sing to me, paper whispers my name. Welcome to all who craft--I hope you're glad you came!
Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and life-long craftin' addict!
I had so much fun this weekend inventing a new, economical little Easter Basket/tote bag for you! Enjoy this video tutorial on how to make it using just one sheet of 12x12 Designer Series Paper--with ZERO waste!
I really hope you like these, because I thought they turned out great! But you know me and my monochromatic kick... I know it's not for everyone.
I don't even know where all these little punched flowers came from. I was doing some cleaning out of my scrap bin this week and stumbled across a baggie with seriously, like 200 of these tiny punches, all the same color (Island Indigo). What on earth do you suppose they were from???
So I just started playing. I used all but six of them by the time I was done!
If you're looking to make your own version, the little flower punch is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack, and the stamp set is Label Love with the coordinating Artisan Label Punch (which by the way, happen to be on the Weekly Deals this week! Nifty how that worked out).
Shall we have some fun with this one? BLOG CANDY TIME!! Leave a comment below and tell me which of the four is your favorite and what other color scheme you think it would look good in. I'll send you the card you liked best AND a free stamp for the back of your cards!
Now, isn't this cute? I just chose five different fun embossing folders for this card and I love how it turned out! I used the Hexagon, Decorative Dots, Tiny Triangles, Stylish Stripes and Lucky Stars Big Shot Textured Impressions Embossing Folders for mine.
I designed this five-panel card to showcase our retiring 2013-15 In Color Collection of these five discontinuing colors: (L-R) Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding. They are retiring officially on April 21st, but the run has already begun! Be sure to get a pack or two of each color and buy the ink refills for your ink pads so you can enjoy them for years to come.
Specialty 2013-15 In Color Collection accessories you might not think of:
I am here to help you make SURE you get these colors before it is too late--but you have to help me help you, by ordering NOW while they are still available. Be SMART! Every year I have to disappoint people who waited TOO LONG to order and are out of luck. Order here at www,Lyssa.stampinup.net or email me at [email protected].
Just can't get enough of the exclusive, limited-time Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Papers. I used the star pattern for this card we made at Calendar Club this month, sponging Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder onto the paper and then buffing the ink off the stars so they really popped against the multi-colored background. I adore this color combo, too! You'll be seeing a lot more of it, for sure.

Wow! If you've been on my blog for more than thirty seconds today, I bet you're really excited about all the fun things going on in the papercrafting world right now. Lots of exciting new products and techniques, tons of great specials, fun events coming our way--there's plenty to distract us from the sad news that a couple of our product lines are going away.
Unfortunately, an issue with manufacturing these markers has caused a failure rate of 30-40%--totally unacceptable, of course... and Stampin' Up was unable to find a workable solution to continue their relationship with that manufacturer. So, in order to maintain the high quality standards you have come to expect through Stampin' Up's 27-year history, the product line has been discontinued, effective immediately. No further Blendabilities will be shipped as merchandise or as Sale A Bration rewards.
I know--I'm sad too! I loved coloring with these fun new tools and it's a bummer that I won't be able to get them in more colors. But you can continue to use the Blendas you already own, and if you still have new ones purchased recently and unused--or new ones that were affected by the product defects--please let me know right away and I'll put you in the system to receive a refund or exchange. We'll make it right. I apologize for the inconvenience!
My Digital Studio
Due to the continuously-evolving nature of scrapbooking as a modern art form, and an upsurge in the technological capability to preserve memories in less traditional ways, Stampin' Up is retiring the My Digital Studio software and product line. New options and partnerships are being explored that will continue to combine the color coordination and stamp images we know and love from Stampin' Up with the ease and convenience of the digital age.
While you can continue to use the software and downloads as long as you like (I use mine for all kinds of stuff!) the product line will be discontinued on May 31st, 2015, so purchase what you want to have before then. www.mydigitalstudio.net will be taken down, and you should save and back up all your downloads as they will no longer be cached on the Stampin' Up site after May 31st. I will try to send regular reminders to get those downloads permanently transferred to a safe spot before the deadline.
"If you are brave enough to say goodbye,
life will reward you with a new hello."
Of course, every time product lines depart, new ones take their place! I'm excited to see what new "hellos" are just around the corner for Stampin' Up. Bottom line--I'm proud to represent a company that refuses to put junk on the market, and is willing to make tough decisions like this one, even when the easy thing to do would be to ignore it. Pulling the plug on a promising software that quite a few people loved dearly was also a difficult choice, not easily made. It's just another reinforcement in nearly ten years of realizing that Stampin' Up is a quality company to work for. If you'd like more information on becoming a demonstrator yourself, I'd be so honored to walk you through it and answer your questions. Let's chat!
Something pretty we made at my March workshops... One stamp, one ink pad, some markers and a little bit of vintage Designer Series papers. Add in a little antique touch and gain even more versatility out of your stamps! I balanced the vintage paper with a modern accent of chevron ribbon.
Just foolin' around in the stamp room the other day... not too much foolin' going on right now because we have family in town for a play that Natalie is in this weekend, plus major events at church, and two stampin' clubs coming right up as well. It's a good kind of busy, though.
PLUS, it's Sale A Bration, after all. Who needs sleep? You can sleep when you're dead! There's stampin' to be done!
Penni and I are busy making more than 70 of these Calypso Coral ones for my entire Stampin' Up team. I try to send a card out every quarter just for no good reason, just to encourage and support my demonstrators. Thankful for her assistance as I am dealing with a lot of carpal tunnel pain right now.
It's so fun being part of a team of enthusiastic, inspiring women like my demo team is. We just feed off each others' creativity. Our meetings are a barrel of laughs as we learn new techniques together, brainstorm game ideas to make our workshops even more fun, and stamp the night away. I'd love, love, LOVE to have YOU on my team! DO IT DO IT DO IT! : )
Right now you can join for just $99 and get all kinds of goodies, including free Sale A Bration items or free kits from the Spring catalog. Let's chat about the Starter Kit, the low sales minimum, and all the many perks of becoming your own demonstrator!

You can't imagine how fast and easy this adorable baby card was to make using the new Bow Builder punch from Stampin' Up. I love it! And the best part is, it takes just scraps of paper to use, so it's a wonderful way to clean out the scrap bins and turn all those bits and pieces into something useful.
I found myself so addicted to making these little bows that I now have a bunch pre-made in a little jar that I can just grab and stick on cards, packages and tags. How fun is that?
Have you heard about my new "Cheat Sheets" Collections? These handy card-maker's helpers contain six different sketches ranging from super easy to moderately difficult, complete with measurements, step-by-step instructions, and alternate layouts. More ombre... I think I need an intervention! I just love the gradient-color techniques out there, and I can't get enough time in the craft room to try them all. This one was SO easy, just sponging on the new Irresistibly Yours specialty paper, dark on the bottom, light on the top. I used Rich Razzleberry ink and cardstock, and Blackberry Bliss for the flower punch. The new Crazy About You stamp set and coordinating Thinlets set Hello You (available separately or as a bundle for 15% off) make for endless combinations of things I can say to friends and family in need of a special card.
Love this card? You can make it at home! Purchase the supplies below or any combination of products that equal $50 or more before shipping and tax, and get the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper totally free. Click on any link below to go shop, or email me at [email protected]
