31 Pages in 31 Days: Christmas Circles Spread

It's Day Seven of 31 Pages in 31 Days! Hip hip hooray! As soon as I saw the new In Colors from Stampin' Up for this year, I wanted to make something Christmassy with Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder and Soft Sky. They make the perfect upbeat, modern Christmas colors.

We made these pages last night in Scrapbooking Summer School and they were a hit! The circles in the background are just such a fun and easy thing to do. And they let the fun mix of patterns in the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack swipe in the spotlight.

The real scene-stealer on this layout, though, is the headline! I know I've raved about my new Layered Letters Alphabet from Stampin' Up before, but guys, you really gotta get this one. It's my most favorite alphabet set of all time... and trust me, after ten years in the biz and several more years scrapping before that, I have seen a LOT of alphabets. If I had to choose ONE (please don't make me, though!) alphabet set to keep to use for the rest of my life, this would be it.

 

I used the rectangular background to stamp my boxes in Soft Sky, then layered the lettering in Watermelon Wonder over the top. There's zero lining up, because the stamps are photopolymer and you can see right through them. Love it!

I accented my page with snowflakes and sayings from last year's Christmas runaway best-seller, Endless Wishes, some Cucumber Crush dotted lace trim, and a little bit of Soft Sky pom-pom trim from the All Boxed Up kit

I am so glad to see these scrapbook page layouts back. I love traditional scrapbooking, but struggle for fresh ideas. This is a great layout, and just changing the colors and title, would make it so versatile. Thanks for sharing!
