Welcome, friends! We're showcasing the gorgeous new Sale-A-Bration Set of the Week, Botannicals for You!
Each week during the 13 weeks of Sale A Bration 2016, Stampin' Up's BIGGEST sale of the year, I'll be featuring a different reward freebie stamp set or papers here at Song of My Heart Stampers. You'll be able to see multiple ideas for sets you love... plus maybe fall in love with a couple of things you THOUGHT you didn't need! Hee hee!
Last week's featured set was Sky's the Limit: see it here. Read about Sale A Bration, and it will become abundantly clear why we're so excited for it! Every $50 spent gets you a reward choice totally free.
I'm CRAZY about the simple beauty of this stamp set. Large, elegant font, little tiny florals, sweet sayings for the inside of the card--the combinations boggle the mind. In fact, I had to STOP myself from playing with this set after I got the samples pulled together for this week's posts. I had SO many more ideas I kept thinking up! Whether you add a few random flowers, a whole LOT of random flowers, flowers in a line, flowers left to right, flowers up and down... they never over-power the sentiment, so there's no way to mess up the design.
Here's another awesome idea for this set. I came up with this one by accident when I was trying to fix a flower that hadn't stamped fully the first time. Oops! Literally the ENTIRE CARD was totally finished, when I dripped with my Aquapainter watercoloring pen and made a puddle. I was so mad!! Why hadn't I left "good enough" alone!?
But hey...wait a minute... that looks kind of cool... I grabbed the rest of the ink colors and purposefully, messily, watercolored on each flower. I love how soft and pretty it looks!
That's a TINY hint of the fun things I've got to share with you showing my personal fave (so far!) Sale-A-Bration set. I hope you'll join us here at Song of My Heart for more posts scattered throughout the week. I have a stunning video coming out this week (you're going to FLIP!) and we've got a brand new Spring 2016 catalog to sample, so I hope you're in the mood to try some new things! In the meantime, here's what you'll need if you want to recreate this card in the colors that I used. Click any link to purchase them in my online stampin' store!
Lyssa - your oops cards are better than my best cards on a good day! Love your ideas for this stamp set.
