We had a great "Brides & Babies" theme for our monthly demonstrator swap in April, and I had to share these two white-on-white wedding samples made by my teamies Mona (above) and Lynn (below). Aren't they just scrumptious? You'd think that a card made from a single color, and a neutral, to boot, would be boring, but far from it!
The trick to this gorgeous cardmaking trend is TEXTURE... the thing all three of these cards having in common is the fact that, far from being a sea of boring white, the eye is kept busy and engaged with all the different textures and patterns in both the background and foreground.
The texture draws you in to study and appreciate the individual elements because you're not distracted by color. Pretty cool!
So have you tried it yet? I think you need to! I'm sure you have white in your craft stash, right? Next, look at what you've got that can add texture. You'll be well on your way to a gorgeous "W-O-W" card in no time.
