I confess, I am a BIT of a paper hoarder... and it does seem like the prettier the paper, the harder it is to actually cut into it! But I came up with a brand new "split front" layout to share with you, and it helps with the paper anguish a lot because it's super cute and it really lets the patterns shine. Inexpensive, time-efficient, and cute, to boot! That's like the papercrafters' trifecta!
BONUS: you can use both sides of the double-sided paper, so no more having to choose which one you like best and having to sadly glue the other one down!
Ready for measurements for the Split Front Layout? The top piece is 3.75x2.5 inches (patterned paper) and 4x2.75 inches (cardstock mat). The lower piece is 3.75 x 1.5 inches (patterned paper) and 4x1.75 inches (cardstock mat.
When those two matted panels are adhered to the top and bottom of a regular half-sheet card, as shown, it leaves you with a 3/4 inch gap between them, where you can stamp any long, narrow saying you want to use. Spiffy!
Make these Split Front Layout cards at home! Here's what you'll need to gather.
