Welcome back to Song of My Heart's summer blog series, 31 Pages in 31 Days! Today is Day FIVE already--August is truckin' right along! Today's inspiration page is one of the projects for Week One of Scrapbooking Summer School.
I wish the gold foil showed up a little better in the photos--these pages are CLASSY! The papers came pre-embossed with gold polka dots and confetti, and they look smashing against the black. Adding a dab of sky blue and pale green breaks up and softens the stark color contrast, and the pennants provide a much-needed break in the strong horizontal visual line of the layout.
I used a cute new stamp set called Perfectly Wrapped on these pages. It was meant to coordinate with this gift-making kit, but it's good for lots more than just packaging and has actually become one of my very favorite sets. Click here to see three other cards I made with it.
I've got a supply list here so you can recreate these pages if you're playing along at home. You can click on any of the product links to go see the tools in my online stamp store, and if you need anything, I'd be honored if you'd choose me as your demonstrator! Feel free to contact me directly at Lyssa@songofmyheartstampers.com if you have questions.
