I love today's inspiration page and I hope you do, too! I broke out one of my BRAND NEW stamp sets from the upcoming Holiday Catalog, which is in the demonstrator-only preorder period right now, because I just had to use one of the stamps from the new Paisleys & Posies set. "Thankful-Grateful-Blessed" is the perfect headline! I'm looking forward to sharing the rest of the set with you very soon, but for today you'll just have to settle for a page, because this month is all about the scrapbook!
TODAY'S TIP: like doilies but don't always want a super-frou-frou or vintage look? I often use a quarter of a doily on my page. Not only is it super economical, it it usually JUST the perfect touch of lace without going overboard. Don't feel like you have to use the whole thing--a strip peeking out from behind a photo mat, or even a punched heart made out of a doily will add a feminine touch but stay modern and relevant.
This page started out as one of my Scrapbooker's One-Sheet Wonder templates and morphed from there, using up a bunch of scrap strips along the way. The One-Sheet Wonders are fantastic jumping-off points, even if you wind up using more than strictly the single sheet of 12x12 patterned paper for your 2-page layout. You can read about them here.
I hope you are enjoying this series as much as I am! I LOVE scrapbooking and I've really been looking forward to this challenge to immerse myself in it all month long. Be sure to stroll through the past several years' worth of 31 Pages in 31 Days layouts before you leave the blog today. You won't be able to resist joining the Facebook support group and diving in to get some of your own accomplished.
See you tomorrow for Day Ten (already!)
