This makes me think of a New Year's Eve card! The black and cream with the gold foil and overall glam would certainly suit! But this one is a 40th birthday card.
I actually had to make 28 of these for a private sample swap for my business demonstrator training group. I could have chosen ANY birthday number for these since they are just samples. I'm not sure why I had "40th" on the brain... ahem...!
Well enough about that! You want to hear what I used to make these. I used not one, not two or even three, but FOUR different stamp sets to create it. Overacheiver!
I don't usually do that, but Birdcage Builder (which I used for the chandelier) only has one sentiment with it and the style suits birdcages but not necessarily fancy overhead light fixtures, know what I mean? So I used Milestone Moments to craft the saying. You guys are going to LOVE this one! It uses two super classy fonts and works for sweet sixteen, retirement, anniversary, birthday and even new baby. Like Birdcage Builder, it's in the Spring 2017 Occasions Catalog, so ordering begins January 4th. Can't wait!!
Next I used a brand new set that you can choose for free when you spend $50 during Sale-A-Bration 2017! Yup, totally free, starting January 4th. It's called Delicate Details and it's got five different lace borders--something for every style. This has my prediction for being the most popular reward choice during the whole promotion! We'll see if I'm right!
Lastly I used a little Crumb Cake ink with the spatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge to soften the look and remove a little of the harshness of the black and cream. I think it kind of works with a New Year's theme, too, though--throwback to confetti or champagne bubbles, maybe.
Speaking of New Year's--I hope you have a wonderful one! Whether you're glad to see the last of 2016 or just really excited for something 2017 has in store, I'm sending wishes and prayers for a year of grace and peace. I will leave you with this saying--"I do not know what the future holds, but I know Who holds my hand."
Many blessings on your families. Thanks for being my friend!
I'm loving this card!
Mostly I love that you used 4 different stamp sets to create the card!
MOST of all you used my favorite stamp set of all time Georgous Grunge!!
I'm a fan.
Hope you have a good year in 2017!
